Woodsure Ready To Burn Scheme
This scheme is a UK certification program aimed at ensuring wood fuel is dry and efficient for burning. Fuel accredited by this scheme must have a moisture content of 20% or less. Fuel with a low moisture content helps reduce air pollution, improve heating efficiency, and promote environmental sustainability. It involves rigorous testing and labelling, making it easy for consumers to identify and purchase high-quality wood fuel. Supported by the UK government, the scheme educates consumers and encourages suppliers to provide cleaner-burning wood. As a result, this scheme contributes to better air quality and cost-effective heating. Learn more about the Woodsure Ready To Burn Scheme here.
Before You Choose Nationwide Delivery
Nationwide orders are delivered on pallets by large lorries, rather than our smaller local delivery vans. Before placing your order, there are a few important things to consider to make sure your delivery goes smoothly.
1. Lorry Access – Our pallet couriers use large delivery vehicles. Please check that your property can be accessed by a large lorry, with no narrow roads, low bridges, tight turns or other restrictions.
2. Suitable Unloading Space – You will need a suitable, firm and reasonably level driveway or hardstanding where the lorry can safely unload your pallet. The delivery area must be accessible to the vehicle’s tail lift and pallet truck.
3. Kerbside Delivery – Pallets are delivered to the nearest suitable unloading point, typically your driveway or hardstanding. The driver cannot carry individual bags into your garage, log store or back garden.
4. Moving Your Logs – Once unloaded, you are responsible for moving the logs from the pallet to your chosen storage area. Make sure you have enough space and are happy to move the bags yourself.
Not sure whether your property is suitable?
We recommend checking your access and unloading space before ordering. If you’re unsure, get in touch with our team and we’ll be happy to help you work out whether nationwide pallet delivery is right for you.
Tip: If you have limited access, a narrow driveway or need your logs placed directly into storage, our local van delivery service may be a better option where available.
You Might Qualify for Our Local Van Deliveries!
If access for a large delivery lorry is a concern, you may be eligible for our local van delivery service instead.
We deliver across Northamptonshire and surrounding counties using our own fleet of smaller delivery vans and friendly, experienced drivers. Our local service offers more flexibility, including FREE STACKING on loose cubic metre orders, taking your logs straight to your log store, garage or suitable outbuilding.
It’s a convenient option if you’d rather not be left with a pallet of firewood on your driveway!
Check whether we deliver to your area and enjoy a little less heavy lifting.
